The Mini-Mold Peg Lateral kit provides a fast and easy way to convert a peg/undersized lateral to a full sized lateral in minutes. Studies show that 8% of all orthodontic patients have either pegged or undersized laterals and maintaining the correct amount of space during treatment requires constant attention. The space must be maintained either with coil springs or a temporary crown. You can form the crown on a stone model and cement it in or form it directly over the undersized lateral in the mouth.
Step 1: Etch and prime the tooth. Then fill the Mini-Mold™ tip with light-cure resin after initial try-in.
Step 2: Place the Mini-Mold TM tip on the peg lateral tooth so that the incisal edge aligns with centrals.
Step 3: Light Cure for 10-20 seconds (depending on light intensity) and use finishing bur for final contour adjustments.
