Comparing VIVA with FLX.
Similar to FLX, VIVA is a trilayer material but it has a different architecture and is 0.89mm thick (FLX is 0.76mm thick).
It generates a higher teeth movement force (stress retention modulus) but retains the same pt comfort property FLX is renowned for.
Applications for VIVA:
* If you need a finishing aligner for final stages of an aligner treatment.
* If you want to shorten the last 3-4 stages of an aligner treatment.
* If you have a really stubborn teeth movement you cant achieve (e.g., teeth rotation or extrusion).
* If you need complete a revisional treatment in a shorter period of time.
* If you have a pt who needs really quick ortho treatment and cant wear brackets/wires (e.g., a celebrity pt or someone preparing for an important public engagement).
* If a pt demands shortest possible treatment and insists on clear aligners.
