Split Crimpable Hooks and Stops
Non-slip crimping to nickel titanium and stainless steel archwires.
Both hooks and stops feature unique inner wall ‘teeth’, that prevent rotation, and unwanted sliding along the
archwire. Inner wall surface is also microetched, producing a roughened surface for even greater retention
to the archwire.
Successful crimping to both nickel titanium and stainless steel archwires.
As nickel titanium wire is softer and more flexible, hooks and stops are made from harder steel.
With stainless steel, wire is harder and stiffer, so hooks and stops are made from ‘softer’ steel.
Hooks and stops can be placed on archwire sizes .016” (.040mm) round to .022” x .028”
(.55m x .7mm) rectangular.
T-Hook vertical height 3mm/.12”.

Crimping Plier
Hooks and stops can be placed with any crimping plier, but for best results, the specifically designed
Grip-Lok Plier holds and crimps effectively to wires, inside or outside the mouth.
Non-Slip Crimping: For optimum performance, after initial crimping to archwire, crimp again, both on
mesial and distal ends of stop/hook.
